Week Five @ 23 Things n'@

I was able to print out the Audio and Video guide at work. It was handy.

Is there a BWI/Follett? I couldn't find it. I looked at Carnegie's web site. I also looked in Access PA. I figured it was available if it made the Audio/Video guide.

I signed up for a NetLibrary account.

I clicked on eBooks. I clicked on The Get Well Soon Book: Good Wishes for Bad Times by Kes Gray and Mary McQuillan. I used the question mark feature to find out how to "read" and "turn" the pages. It was a cute read. I'm not used to reading books via the computer.

I downloaded Bergdorf Blondes by Plum Sykes from the eAudiobooks section. It was interesting to hear a story via the computer. I'm used to holding a book in my hands.

It's good to have these different options to read or listen to books.

  1. Good question about BWI/Follett - to find their e-books you have to search by publisher - also, they literally just changed the way they do their e-books: up to now you could only read them on the screen, but now they have a download feature. Of course, it requires installing their reader on your computer, so it's something we're looking at as to whether or not ein can do it. Good times. Remote patrons will have no problem, of course, provided they're tech-savvy...
